A Message from the Town Clerk's Office
The Coronavirus (Covid-19) is in Rhode Island and diligence must be made to prevent the spread. In that effort the Town of Barrington is urging residents and businesses to use Online and Mail Services and the utilization of the Town's Drop Box located at the left front door of Town Hall.

For the Tuesday, June 2nd Presidential Preference Primary, Sunday, May 3rd not later than 4:00 pm is the final day to register to vote and Barrington residents can do so on that day at the Public Safety Building, 100 Federal Road with Police Dispatch. Monday, May 4th not later than 4:00 pm is the last day to disaffiliate. If you have not registered to vote or wish to disaffiliate before these dates, you are welcome to do so at the Town Clerk's office at Barrington Town Hall.
The Rhode Island Board of Elections is coordinating with the Rhode Island Department of Health to ensure polling place readiness and encourages voters to cast mail ballots (See Press Release: https://www.ri.gov/press/view/37890). Presidential Preference Primary mail ballot applications must be received by your local Town Clerk's office not later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12th for the Tuesday, June 2nd Primary election. The Town Clerk is appointed by the Town Manager and serves as clerk of the Council, Financial Town Meeting, Probate Court, and Board of Canvassers and is the Recorder of Deeds. The Town Clerk has a staff of two full-time clerks and one part-time clerk. Clerk to the Trustees, Amey Tucker Spencer Trust Fund.

Dog Licensing Licenses are issued annually from March 1- April 30. A late fee of $10.00 is applied to renewed licenses after April 30th.
