The BFD along with Warren FD were called for a Kayaker in distress September 15th under the old train trestle on Palmer River. 2 females in a kayak were attempting to navigate under the trestle when the kayak was overpowered by the incoming tide current causing the vessel to broadside the pylon, flip and then sink. One female was able to make it to shore and call 911 while the other was clinging to the pylon in the water. BFD M3 was able to rescue the female and bring her to shore for medical evaluation by Warren FD. Both Barrington FD and Warren responded to the incident. Both parties refused medical aid
