Comprehensive Community Plan
On March 25, 2015, the Town Council and Planning Board approved the 2015 Comprehensive Community Plan. The Plan was written with input from the public and town boards and commissions, as well as the Planning Board's assessment of issues facing Barrington. State approval was granted in May 2015, and is valid through May 10, 2025.
The Comprehensive Community Plan sets the Town's goals and policies addressing a wide range of issues, including housing, land use, transportation, parks & recreation, community services & facilities, and environmental protection. The Plan provides a basis for zoning, development/subdivision standards, capital improvement budgets, State grant applications and Town policies.
