Notice is hereby given that the Barrington Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. on the following:
Discuss and Act: Comprehensive Permit, Preliminary Plan Submittal by Edward Lee, 6 Normand Street, Bristol, RI, owner and applicant, for “Mapleleaf Affordable Housing” project at 88 Maple Avenue – Assessor’s Plat 23, Lot 88, Business District. Applicant seeks to subdivide the existing parcel into two lots. The two-family dwelling on the existing lot will remain, and a new two-family dwelling will be built on the new lot, with the first-floor unit of the new two-family dwelling being deed-restricted as affordable. The applicant is seeking relief from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance through the Comprehensive Permit process, including a use variance for residential use in the Business District, and dimensional relief for lot area, lot frontage, maximum front yard, and minimum side-yard setback.
The hearing will be on the agenda of the Planning Board’s regular business meeting to be held in the Council Chamber at Town Hall, 283 County Road. All interested parties may attend and be heard by the Board. Plans may be viewed at Town Hall in the Building and Planning Office in the Lower Level of Town Hall upon request, or online at www.barrington.ri.gov/planningboard.
