Board of Assessment Review
The Board of Assessment Review hears appeals of any property owner where a claim is made that the assessed valuation of the property, determined by the Tax Assessor, is erroneous.

Board of Canvassers & Elections
The Board of Canvassers is a bipartisan canvassing authority whose members oversee the election process, meeting as needed to prepare for upcoming elections and the Financial Town Meeting.

The Barrington Town Council appoints three appointees to the Bristol County Water Authority Board of Directors.

Budget Forecasting Committee
The Budget Forecasting Committee encourages improved planning, collaboration, and goal-setting by the Town Council, the School Committee, the Committee on Appropriations, and the community-at-large.

Building Board of Review
The Building Board of Review hears and renders decisions on requests for relief from the requirements of the State of Rhode Island Building Code, and meets on an as-needed basis.

Cemetery Commission
The Barrington Cemetery Commission manages and controls all cemeteries and burial grounds belonging to the Town or in which the Town has any interest.

Committee on Appropriations (COA)
The Barrington Committee on Appropriations is responsible to present the budget to the townspeople at the Financial Town Meeting.

Conservation Commission
The Conservation Commission reviews and provides advisory recommendations to the Zoning Board of Review special use permit applications involving encroachment into the Town’s minimum 100-foot wetland setback and also reviews Development Plan Review applications submitted to the Planning Board involving projects within the Nayatt wellhead recharge area and special flood hazard areas.
